Kevin Adolphe holds several senior executive positions with Manulife Financial Corporation including President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Asset Management Private Markets and President and Chief Executive Officer, Manulife Real Estate the Company’s global real estate arm. In addition to being a member of Manulife Financial’s Management Committee, Kevin is Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Real Estate Funds, a Board Member and Chair of the Audit Committee of NAL Resources Management Limited, as well as a Board Member, Chair of the Audit Committee, and member of both the Natural Resource Investment Committee and Ethics Committee of Hancock Natural Resources Group, subsidiary groups of Manulife Financial.
As President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Asset Management Private Markets, Kevin has overall responsibility for origination and management of the Company's private assets, both for the Company's general account and in some asset classes, for the benefit of third party investors. Collectively, private assets span across private placement debt, commercial mortgages, timberland, farmland, real estate, private equity and mezzanine debt, oil and gas and power and infrastructure assets. As President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Real Estate, Kevin has overall accountability for the strategic management and operations of Manulife’s extensive and diversified portfolio of prime commercial real estate properties in key metropolitan centers throughout Canada, the United States and Asia. Kevin joined Manulife in 2006 and prior to his current role, was Chief Operating Officer of Investments, where he was responsible for all finance, market risk management, securities operations, mortgage administration, derivatives and middle office operations, systems and functions in offices spanning Toronto, Boston, Asia and the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining Manulife, Kevin served as Chief Control Officer with CIBC, one of Canada’s major banks, playing a lead role in governance and internal control frameworks across the bank. In addition, Kevin served as Chair of the Audit Committee for the joint venture in CIBC Mellon as well as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for CIBC World Markets. He has extensive experience in derivatives and managing Capital market middle and back office functions. During his career, Kevin has worked in Canada, England and Australia.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Toronto and holds designations from both the Canadian and Ontario Institutes of Chartered Accountants as well as the Canadian Institute of Certified Management Consultants. He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, the Ontario Chapter of World Presidents’ Organization (WPO), and a member of Real Property Association of Canada (REALpac). Kevin also serves on the Regional Transportation Champions Council of the Greater Toronto CivicAction Alliance and on the Board of Directors of Rogers Bank.
Jacqui Allard is Head of Operations and Chief Information Officer of the Investment Division of Manulife Financial. As Head of Operations and Chief Information Officer, Jacqui is responsible for all investment operations and information technology functions globally for the Investment Division, which includes Manulife Asset Management, Private Asset Management and the General Fund investment businesses of Manulife. Jacqui is a member of Manulife Asset Management's Executive Committee and our Product Steering Committee. Jacqui joined the firm in 2008 and is located in Toronto, Canada. Jacqui joined Manulife from State Street Corporation, where she was Senior Vice President and Regional Head of State Street's Global Technology Services (Americas). Prior to this she held a variety of senior operational and technology roles for State Street in Boston, Sydney and London, and worked as an institutional client relationship executive at Bank of Ireland Asset Management in Dublin. Jacqui holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management from Bentley Graduate School of Business in Massachusetts and an Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and History from Queen's University in Ontario. Jacqui is Chair of the Advisory Council of "Serve!" and is Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of the Portfolio Management Association of Canada (PMAC). She is also a member of the Advisory Committee of Women in Capital Markets.
Chris Conkey, CFA, is the Global Chief Investment Officer of Manulife Asset Management. In this role, he is responsible for the investment performance of all Manulife Asset Management equity and fixed income investment strategies. Chris is a member of the Manulife Asset Management Executive Committee and brings 28 years of investment management experience to his role. Before joining Manulife, he was Chief Investment Officer of Evergreen Investment Management Company, where he had overall management responsibility for $180 billion in assets. He was also the chair of the Investment Strategy Committee, and led several distinct teams in managing fixed income, equity and alternatives strategies. Prior to his role as CIO, Chris spent three years as Evergreen's equity Chief Investment Officer, following a merger between Keystone Investments and Evergreen. He spent 13 years at Keystone, where he held several investment management positions, culminating with the role of president and Chief Investment Officer. Chris holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Barry H. Evans, CFA, is the President of Manulife Asset Management, North America and Chief Investment Officer of Global Asset Allocation and is a member of Manulife Asset Management’s Executive Committee. Barry joined the firm in 1986 and is located in Boston, Massachusetts. Barry is responsible for all North American investment business functions and Asset Allocation strategies managed by Manulife Asset Management across the globe. As President, he is responsible for developing and executing Manulife Asset Management’s strategy in North America. Additionally, he is President of Manulife Asset Management Trust Company, LLC and President of Declaration Management & Research LLC. Barry brings 26 years of global investment experience managing investment organizations, investment teams and institutional clients’ assets. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA in finance and of Northeastern University where he earned a Masters of Business Administration. Barry also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Adam Neal is Canadian Head of Sales and Relationship Management at Manulife Asset Management. He is responsible for expanding the company’s foothold in the Canadian institutional marketplace and nurturing strong relationships with our institutional and affiliated clients. Adam has more than 20 years of sales and relationship management experience in the Canadian market. Prior to joining Manulife Asset Management, he was responsible for Pyramis Global Advisors’ institutional investment management sales focused on the defined benefit, foundation, and endowment marketplace in Ontario and Western Canada. Previously, he was Vice President, Sales and Relationship Management at Fidelity Investments Canada, where he played a key role in expanding the defined contribution record-keeping business. He has also held senior sales and relationship management roles at Open Access and Thomson Reuters.
Anthony G. Ostler, MBA, CFA, FRM, is the Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer for Manulife Asset Management. He has global responsibility for marketing and communications, strategy and business development and product development. Product management, sales support and consultant relations also report to Anthony with a dual reporting relationship into local sales leadership.Previously, Anthony was Senior Vice President, Investor Relations, for Manulife Financial. As part of the Management Committee, Anthony acted as the Company’s primary liaison with the investment community. Anthony joined Manulife in 2010 from Canaccord Financial Inc. where he held the position of SVP, Enterprise Information & Risk Management. Earlier at Canaccord, he was SVP, Investor Relations & Communications, during which he successfully led the equity IPO of the company. Prior to Canaccord, Anthony was with the Royal Bank of Canada within the Corporate Treasury group and Investor Relations. Anthony’s extensive experience also includes tenure at A.T. Kearney Ltd. Anthony is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Financial Risk Manager with the Global Association of Risk Professionals. He is the Chair of the Board of the Ivey Alumni Association and has held a number of leadership volunteer roles in support of social services agencies in British Columbia and Toronto.
Based in Toronto, Lucas is Global Head of Finance for Manulife Asset Management. He is a member of the Investment Division Finance Leadership Team, responsible for strategic finance and financial reporting for Manulife Asset Management globally. He is also a member of Manulife Asset Management’s Global Product Steering Committee and Manulife’s Seed Capital Committee. Lucas was previously based in Hong Kong, as Head of Finance & Business Development-Manulife Asset Management Asia, responsible for Manulife Asset Management’s Product Development function and Business Development activities across the region, as well as Chief Financial Officer for Manulife Asset Management Hong Kong’s Asset Management and Mutual Fund businesses. Lucas joined Manulife Financial in 2006 in the Treasury-Capital Markets group and has also been a member of the company’s Corporate Development team, with a focus on business strategy and acquisitions in asset management. Prior to joining Manulife Financial, Lucas was with the Chubb Insurance Company, where he was a Senior Underwriting Officer in the Executive Risk Department, overseeing Risk Underwriting and Product Management for Fiduciary Liability, Directors & Officers Liability and Representations & Warranties coverage for M&A transactions. Lucas began his career with KPMG’s Financial Institutions & Real Estate group.Lucas holds a Master of Science in Global Finance from NYU-Stern School of Business/HKUST-Business School, an MBA from the University of Toronto-Rotman School of Management, an Executive Certificate in International Project Finance from the Amsterdam Institute of Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University-John Molson School of Business.
Paul Sturgess is Senior Managing Director, Strategy, Marketing and Communications, at Manulife Asset Management. Paul is responsible for Manulife Asset Management strategy formulation, business development, institutional marketing and communications in support of our overall growth objectives. Prior to joining Manulife, Paul was a Senior Associate at Booz & Company in New York, where he led strategy engagements for financial services companies including asset managers. Previously, he was a Senior Consultant for KPMG Corporate Finance in London and Paris, advising financial services clients across Europe and Asia.
Paul holds an MBA from Columbia Business School as well as an MSc (European Political Economy) from the London School of Economics, and a BA in Economics from McGill University.
